There are also many tourist attractions, including Kozoji Temple, the oldest wooden structure in Miyagi Prefecture; Lake Uchimachi, which is visited by many swans and has been selected as one of the Thirty-Six Views of Miyagi Zao; and the Kakuda Space Center. Fields of rapeseed flowers line the Abukuma River's riverbed, and the Rape Blossom Festival is held in the spring, attracting many tourists.
