About Suzukashi
Suzuka City is blessed with a rich natural environment, including Ise Bay and the Suzuka Mountains. While it has developed as an inland industrial city, agriculture, including rice and vegetable farming, is also thriving. Tea cultivation has been practiced here for a long time, and "Ise tea" is distributed nationwide. There are also facilities where you can pick strawberries. Seaweed farming is also popular in Ise Bay, and a variety of seafood, including clams, conger eels, and sardines, is landed here. The city is home to numerous tourist attractions, including the "Chouta no Okusu" (Chota's Great Camphor Tree), a prefectural natural monument; the purple azalea at Inato Shrine, a prefectural scenic spot; Kobe Castle; and Firefly Village, attracting many tourists. Local specialties include conger eel, sake buns, local sake, Ise stencil paper, and Suzuka ink.
