About Nabari City
Nabari City is developing as a commuter town, but with the Nabari River flowing through it, it is also blessed with abundant nature. Local specialties include "Katayaki," a simple, additive-free confectionery; "Iga sake," made from Iga rice and the pure waters of the Iga Basin; and "Iga ware," one of Japan's six ancient kilns. The city boasts numerous tourist attractions, including Akame Shijuhachitaki, a series of mystical waterfalls stretching for approximately four kilometers. Lake Shorenji offers seasonal scenery and offers activities such as bird watching and fishing. Kan'ami Furusato Park houses a monument commemorating the birthplace of Kan'ami. The Nabari Cherry Blossom Festival, held in Central Park in March, and the Atago Fire Festival, held in July, attract many tourists.
