Mihama Town in Minamimuro District is located in the southern part of Mie Prefecture, with mountains to the north and west and lowlands along the Kumano Sea to the east. The eastern coastline is home to a pebbly beach called Shichiri Mihama, which is designated as part of Yoshino-Kumano National Park. The town's main industry is citrus cultivation, taking advantage of the warm climate, and it is known for its year-round mandarin orange production. Mandarin oranges are shipped throughout the year, with Satsuma mandarins in September, followed by Iyokan, Kiyomi, and Amanatsu oranges, followed by Summer Fresh in June, and greenhouse mandarins from June to September. The town's appeal lies in the scenery created by its abundant nature, and it attracts many visitors with numerous spots where you can enjoy nature, such as Shichiri Mihama, the Kumano Kodo, a World Heritage Site, and the Fuden Pass Morning Mist.
