Ide Town, Tsuzuki District, Kyoto Prefecture, borders Joyo City and Kizugawa City. It merged with Taga Village in 1958. Approximately 70% of the town is covered in forests, and the Tama River flows through it, making it a town rich in nature. Tourist attractions in the area include the weeping cherry blossoms at Jizo Zenin Temple, a prefectural natural monument that offers a beautiful view in spring, the Mantoroyama Observatory, which overlooks the town, and Samafureai Park, attracting both local residents and people from far and wide. Events include the Firefly Festival held at Tanigawa Firefly Park in June and the Ide Town Cherry Blossom Festival held in the spring. Processed products made with local specialties such as bamboo shoots and tea are popular among locals.
