Joyo City is located between Kyoto and Nara. Its population is about the same as Fukuchiyama in Kyoto, but because of its small size, Joyo City has a high population density and a thriving commercial district compared to areas with the same population. It is also home to a J.League team, making it an ideal place to build relationships with local people. One of the city's main specialties is gold and silver thread. This thread is used for kimonos and other items, and it is said that gold and silver thread produced in this region accounts for 80% of Japan's total. Another major tourist attraction is Mizudo Shrine. It is said to have existed as early as the Nara period, and you can really feel the history here. This building is said to be the oldest structure in the city.
