Nagomi Town, Tamana District, is located in the northwest of Kumamoto Prefecture, next to Fukuoka Prefecture. This town is located in what is known as the center of Kyushu, and is used as a commuter town, as it is only a 60-minute drive from downtown Fukuoka. It is also a relatively new town formed in 2006 by the merger of two towns. The town is filled with greenery, and there are many ruins and ancient tombs that give a sense of its history.
