Yunomae Town, Kuma District, is located in the southern part of Kumamoto Prefecture, approximately 24 km from Hitoyoshi City, the central city of the Kuma region. The western area is the center of life, while the eastern and southern areas are characterized by steep terrain. The town borders Minakami Village and Taragi Town in the same district, as well as Nishimera Village in Koyu District, Miyazaki Prefecture. One of the tourist spots is Yunomae Hot Spring "Yurari." Here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Kyushu Mountains, and facilities include a large public bath and an open-air bath. Other popular tourist spots include Yunomae Green Palace and the Yunomae Manga Museum. Kuma Shochu is a rice shochu that has been designated as a protected area under the TRIPS Agreement.
