Asagiri Town in Kuma District is located in the south of Kumamoto Prefecture, bordering Ebino City and Kobayashi City in Miyazaki Prefecture. The Kuma River, recognized as one of Japan's three most rapid rivers, flows through the center of the town. The town is divided into two areas: forest and basin. The town is generally warm and rainy throughout the year, but due to the basin's climate, the combination of the two climates results in frequent fog. Major tourist attractions include the grave of Kagekiyo's daughter and Miyahara Kannon-do, where you can learn about history and culture. Okadome Koufuku Station, due in part to its name, is a popular tourist spot. Tickets to Koufuku that can be purchased there are also popular.
