Located in the center of Kyushu, Ubuyama Village in Aso District is surrounded by Mount Aso and other mountains known as volcanoes in Kyushu. The village is generally at a high elevation and has many slopes. It offers panoramic views of various mountain ranges and is located in a location blessed with a natural environment. The village focuses on industries that make use of this natural environment, and is actively involved in rice paddies, pastures, and farmland. Furthermore, this natural environment is home to many rare plants that are currently registered as endangered species, so we are working to conserve them not only as a region, but also by planning tourism and cooperating with others through experiential tourism. This region is unique in that it allows for a wide range of experiences while protecting nature.
