Okawa Village, Tosa County, is located in the northernmost part of Kochi Prefecture, on the border with Ehime Prefecture. Surrounded by mountains over 1,000 meters high, the village is divided in two by the Yoshino River. The area has a village-run study abroad program, divided into short-term programs held during summer vacation and long-term programs where students live in the village for a year.
