Tosa City, Kochi Prefecture, is located in the south-central part of the prefecture, bordering Kochi City and Susaki City. It is the smallest city in Kochi Prefecture. It is blessed with abundant nature, including mountains, rivers, and ponds. It merged with other areas in the past and became a city in 1959. Local specialties include Tosa Buntan, konatsu, and dried bonito flakes. Tourist attractions include Hasukeyama Observation Park, where you can enjoy beautiful views from the observation deck, Hasuike Castle Ruins, Amagasaki Cave, and Mount Kokuzo, perfect for a short stroll. The tachibana colony at Mount Kobara Matsuo, a national natural monument, is also located here. Local events include the Usa Onabe Festival in the spring, the Hasuike Lotus Festival in the summer, and the Nishinomiya Hachiman Shrine Autumn Festival and Fureai Festa in the fall.
