Ootoyo Town in Nagaoka District is adjacent to Kami City and Motoyama Town. The town's tree is the cedar, and its flower is the amaryllis. Located in the center of the Shikoku Mountains, the Yoshino River flows through the town. A major tourist attraction is the Osugi Cedar, a national natural monument. It is estimated to be 3,000 years old.
