About Kami City
Kami City borders Aki City, Nankoku City, and Konan City. Formed in 2006 through the merger of Monobe Village, Tosayamada Town, and Kahoku Town, it boasts abundant natural beauty, including the mountains of Shigenomori, Kunimiyama, Hachigamori, and Gozaisho. It also boasts three rivers and four dams. Its agricultural specialty is niranama rice, yuzu, and ginkgo. Its forestry operations include cedar and cypress. Tourist attractions include the Kami City Yanase Takashi Memorial Museum, known for its Anpanman Museum, Ryugado Cave, and Nishikuma Valley.
