Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, borders Yokohama and Kamakura and faces Sagami Bay. It has schools ranging from elementary school to high school, and is accessible by train and bus. Its five-ring pagoda, designated an Important Cultural Property, was formerly known as the Koyo-ji Gorin-to (a single stone pagoda). Local events include the Zushi Beach Fireworks Festival, the Setsubun Festival, and the Flower Festival, attracting many visitors. Summer beachgoers flock to the area for its specialty seafood, including whitebait and wakame seaweed. Famous people from the area include Ishihara Yoshizumi, a TV personality and weather forecaster, and the two members of the hit music duo Kimaguren.
