Totsuka Ward in Yokohama City is the largest ward in Yokohama City, and is a popular bedroom community thanks to residential development. It has the fourth largest population in the city. It also has a history as a post town on the Tokaido road during the Edo period. Access is excellent, with the Tokaido Shinkansen, subway, and bus routes readily available. The area is also blessed with abundant nature, including water and greenery, making it a comfortable place to live. It also boasts an excellent educational environment, with three universities. In addition to a wide range of commercial facilities, there are also tourist spots such as Maioka Park, where you can enjoy birdwatching. The summer festival and the ofuda-maki festival at Yasaka Shrine have been designated as intangible cultural properties by Yokohama City.
