Manazuru Town in Ashigarashimo District is located just off Manazuru Station on the JR Tokaido Line. The town is very hilly, with almost no plains to be seen. There are some areas on high ground where stone is excavated, but the town is entirely covered by forest. Recently, residential areas have begun to form around the station, and the population has begun to increase. One of the attractions is the Manazuru Town Nakagawa Kazumasa Museum of Art. There are many oil paintings and calligraphy works by artist Nakagawa Kazumasa, a recipient of the Order of Culture, on display, making it a great place to spend some relaxing time.
