About Higashikushira Town
The town flower of Higashikushira Town, Kimotsuki County, is the lupine, a legume. Its wisteria-like flowers give it the nickname "Nobori Fuji." Kashiwara Beach in the town is also known as a lupine field and a major tourist attraction. Another famous attraction is the Tonin Kofun Group, designated a national historic site in 1934. Agriculture, livestock farming, and fisheries are also thriving, with bell peppers and cucumbers being particularly popular. The oil storage base, with 43 crude oil tanks, has become a popular tourist destination. The town is bordered by three municipalities: Kanoya City, Kimotsuki Town, and Osaki Town.
