About Yusui Town
The name of Yusui Town in Aira County comes from its spring water. The town is located in a basin, and as such, while it has the climate characteristics unique to southern Kyushu, it is known for its unique climate, including cold winters. The town is home to two rivers, the Kawauchi River and the Amagagawa River, and two mountains, Mount Kurino and Mount Kunimidake. The town's neighboring municipalities extend all the way to Miyazaki Prefecture, and it also shares a border with Ebino City in Miyazaki Prefecture. As the town's name suggests, it is home to the famous Maruike Spring at the Foot of Mount Kirishima. It is also known as one of Japan's 100 Famous Springs. Another famous tourist attraction in the town is Kirishima Open Air Park, where the beautiful scenery created by the rich natural environment and art is captivating.
