Shodoshima Town, Shozu District, Kagawa Prefecture, is adjacent to Tonosho Town, also in Shozu District, and shares the sea with Takamatsu City and Hyogo Prefecture. The town's tree and flower is the olive. It is a place rich in nature, with mountains and ponds. Soy sauce production, tsukudani (simmered dishes), and hand-stretched somen noodles are thriving and are local specialties. In Sho-no-Sato, you can see many soy sauce brewery buildings. Other local specialties include olives and plums. Tourist attractions include Shodoshima Olive Park, which features an Olive Memorial Hall and olive orchard, and the "Twenty-Four Eyes" movie village, where you can enjoy an atmosphere that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time. Kankakei Gorge is a spectacular spot with beautiful autumn foliage.
