About Noda Village
Salt production has been a major industry in Noda Village, Kunohe County, since ancient times. The salt produced was transported to various locations on the backs of oxen, and this road remains to this day as the "Salt Road." A stone monument marking the starting point of the Shiobeko project stands here. In May and September, an event called "Let's Walk the Salt Road" is held. You can enjoy lunch in the mountains and hear stories about the Salt Road. There are also many other tourist attractions. Eboshi Rock is a uniquely shaped rock formation that juts out over the sea with the setting sun as its backdrop. You can enjoy sweetfish fishing in the Akka River while admiring the autumn foliage. At Noda Port, you can admire the spectacular view of the 50-meter-high cliffs known as Daito no Kura.
