Kanegasaki Town in Iwate Prefecture's Isawa District, adjacent to Oshu City and Kitakami City, is working to revitalize the region through industry. The town is home to a large industrial complex, said to be the largest in Iwate Prefecture. Products manufactured here rank highly among the prefecture's industrial producers. The town is also home to hot spring resorts such as Nagaoka Onsen and Senganishi Onsen, where visitors can enjoy a soak in the hot springs while enjoying nature in a lush green environment. At the foot of Mount Komagatake, vast grasslands spread out, dotted with cattle ranches. Seeing these traditional landscapes offers a taste unlike anything seen today.
