Iwaizumi Town in Shimohei District is known as the largest town on Honshu. It's home to Ryusen-do Cave, one of Japan's three largest limestone caves, and springs of water spring up throughout the town. Ryusen-do Cave boasts one of the world's clearest underground lakes, and the pure water that springs from it is sold nationwide as mineral water. Next to Ryusen-do Cave is the Ryusen Shindo Science Museum, which displays pottery, stoneware, and other artifacts excavated from the cave, making it a popular tourist spot. Okawa Nanataki Falls offers beautiful views throughout the seasons, and is popular with tourists for fishing tournaments and hiking. Fureai Land Iwaizumi offers trailer homes and cottages, perfect for camping.
