Specialties of the town include Noto wine and rock seaweed. Tourist attractions in the town include Shiosai no Michi and Tachitogahama Beach. Town events include the Lowell Festival and Kiriko Festival. The "kiriko" in Kiriko Festival refers to a giant lantern. This festival is considered the most important in the Noto region.
