Hakui City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is located at the neck of the Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park, about 40 km from the prefectural capital, Kanazawa City. The city boasts the Chirihama Driveway, an approximately 8 km long road that stretches to neighboring towns, attracting many car and motorcycle enthusiasts from around the country. Historical structures, such as Myojoji Temple, are scattered throughout the city, attracting many tourists. Hakui City's specialties include wild rock oysters and organically grown rice, products unique to this naturally rich city. Major events include the Hakui Festival and Shinto rituals.
