Naka City is home to the Kuji River and Naka River, and agriculture thrives, taking advantage of the city's abundant water resources. Corn, yams, pumpkins, and other crops are cultivated here. Kiyomizu-do Park, a popular tourist spot, is home to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, the Kiyomizu-dera cedars (a natural monument), and a spring-fed pond. It's also known for its cherry blossoms and autumn foliage. The area's abundant nature allows visitors to see fireflies in the summer. Many wild birds can be observed at the Wildlife Center. The Ibaraki Prefectural Mushroom Museum displays mushrooms, wild vegetables, bamboo, lacquer, and other items, and also displays and sells forestry products. Local specialties include local beer and Daimyo udon noodles.
