Shiso City is the second largest city in Hyogo Prefecture. Due to its large area and the fact that much of the city is mountainous, the population density is low. The city borders three prefectures, including Hyogo Prefecture, and also borders cities and villages in Okayama Prefecture and a town in Tottori Prefecture. The name Shiso can be difficult to pronounce, which is why it often attracts attention. One of the city's tourist attractions is the Banshu Yamazaki Iris Garden, which is home to flowers such as irises, hydrangeas, and daffodils. The city also boasts other tourist attractions, such as Hyogo Prefectural Kunimi no Mori Park, Fukuchi Valley, and Chikusa Highlands.
