About Kami Town
Kami Town, Mikata District, is located in the northern part of Hyogo Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan to the north. The entire town is part of the San'in Coast Geopark, and the town is also home to parts of the San'in Coast National Park and the Hyonose-Ushiroyama-Nagisan Quasi-National Park. The town is home to numerous tourist attractions, attracting many visitors. Popular natural scenic spots include the Ojiro Valley, the Kusube Valley, and Saruo Falls, selected as one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls. Other attractions include historical sites such as Daijoji Temple, famous for its sliding screen paintings on its gates, and leisure spots such as Kasumi Onsen and Ojiro Ski Resort, making it a town with many attractions. The town's main industry is fishing, with Matsuba crab being particularly famous.
