About Inami Town
Inami Town, Kako District, is located in the central-southern part of Hyogo Prefecture, on the Innamino Plateau, sandwiched between the Kakogawa and Akashigawa rivers. It is a rural town whose primary industry is agriculture, but it also functions as a commuter town for the Hanshin region. Its climate is warm and dry throughout the year, typical of the Seto Inland Sea, with little rainfall. Its primary agricultural industry is rice, with Inami melons, figs, and six-row barley also grown. The town is beloved by many, including locals, for its cultural assets, including the remains of the Banshu Vineyard, a national historic site; the five-ringed pagoda, a tangible cultural property; and the Kaizukai bush, a natural monument. It also boasts natural spots such as Inamino Waterside Village Park, the Kako Oike Utilization Facility, and Manyo Forest, where visitors can enjoy nature.
