Shibetsu Town, Shibetsu District, is located at the easternmost tip of Hokkaido. To the north lies the Shiretoko Peninsula, famous as a hidden gem, and to the south is the Nemuro Peninsula, home to Cape Nosappu. Facing the Sea of Okhotsk, Kunashiri Island can be seen across the water. Inland, the Konsen Plains stretch out, complete with vast ranches. The fishing industry produces large catches of salmon and scallops, while the agricultural industry cultivates sugar beets. Tourist attractions include Shibetsu Salmon Park and Kunbetsu Onsen.
