Teine Ward in Sapporo City was originally part of Nishi Ward, but became an independent area in 1989. National Route 5 is home to numerous residential areas, as well as supermarkets and other commercial facilities. Due to its proximity to Sapporo City, it has developed as a commuter town. Tourist attractions in the area include Teine Pool and Maeda Forest Park. Teine Pool boasts the largest pool area in Hokkaido, and is popular with families and couples in the summer. At Maeda Forest Park, you can enjoy barbecues. There is also an area for playing park golf. Even if you don't have a barbecue set, the area is permanently equipped, so you can enjoy a fun time without having to bring anything.
