About Mori Town
Morimachi, Kayabe District, is a mountainous region with the Hakodate Main Line running along the coast. Agriculture is the main industry, with blueberries and pumpkins being cultivated. One of Morimachi's tourist attractions is Oniushi Park. The park's name means "a place with many trees," and 500 cherry trees are planted within the park. In spring, the park is bustling with locals, hosting a cherry blossom festival and hosting a marathon. It is also home to the site of Enomoto's army's Washinogi landing, marking the beginning of the Battle of Hakodate. There are also plenty of hot spring facilities, including World Hot Spring Farm and Nigorikawa Onsen, so you can relax and soothe your fatigue.
