About Shintoku Town
Much of Shintoku Town in Kamikawa District is in high mountainous areas. The northern area is covered with forests and many mountains over 2,000 meters high. The southern area is hilly, and buckwheat fields take advantage of the terrain. This area is also known for its large area, making it the fourth largest town in Japan. The town also has many tourist attractions, including Sahoro Resort, Club Med Sahoro, Osoushi Onsen, and Tomuraushi Onsen. There are several other hot spring resorts, and hot springs are an essential part of the town's tourism resources. Events held throughout the year include the Soba Village Festival and the Heavy Snow Festival.
