Hatsukaichi City borders four cities and towns in Hiroshima Prefecture, Iwakuni City in Yamaguchi Prefecture, and Masuda City in Shimane Prefecture. Facing Hiroshima Bay, the city enjoys a pleasant climate year-round thanks to the warm climate of the Seto Inland Sea. The city is blessed with abundant nature, including towering 1,000-meter-high mountains like Mount Akikanmuri and Mount Omine, and the Oze River and Mitarai River. Fruit cultivation, including grapes, chestnuts, and pears, is thriving. One of Hatsukaichi's most well-known tourist attractions is Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage Site. Itsukushima Shrine boasts a history of 1,400 years and consists of a large torii gate, main hall, high stage, flat stage, Noh stage, Soribashi Bridge, and corridors. Other tourist attractions include Kanmuri Plateau, Miyahama Onsen, Hanaguri Island, and Nature Observation Forest.
