Kaita Town, Aki District, Hiroshima Prefecture, is located in the southwestern part of the prefecture, adjacent to Hiroshima City and Kumano Town, Aki District. This area was a bustling post town on the Saigoku Kaido road during the Edo period. There was talk of merging with Hiroshima City in the 2000s, but the plan was scrapped and the town remains as it is today. The town is blessed with abundant nature, including rivers and mountains. On the other hand, there are also thriving areas with shopping centers and restaurants. Tourist attractions include Kaita General Park, where you can enjoy sports such as baseball fields and tennis courts, and Furusatokan, where you can learn about Kaita's history. Other attractions include the Sagano Kaita natural hot springs and the Himawari Bridge. Kumano Shrine's summer and autumn festivals are held here.
