Katashina Village, Tone District, is located in the north-northeast of Gunma Prefecture. Known nationwide for its alpine plants and wetlands, the village is home to a beautiful mountain landscape encompassing Mt. Oze, Mt. Hotaka, and Mt. Shirane. The area is also blessed with beautiful lakes such as Marunuma and Suganuma, making it one of the most popular skiing destinations in the Kanto region.
