Large supermarkets have opened around Takasaki Station, making it an easy place to live. Haruna Shrine, Mount Haruna, and Mount Kannon are popular leisure spots. Among these are the Takasaki Byakue Daikannon (White Robe Kannon), located on Mount Kannon. It's 41.8 meters high and you can even go inside. Many Somei-Yoshino cherry trees are planted around Takasaki Byakue Daikannon.
