Oizumi Town, Oura District, is located in the southeast of Gunma Prefecture, bordering Oura Town and Chiyoda Town to the east, Ota City to the west and north, and Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, across the Tone River to the south. It is one of the most populous towns in Gunma Prefecture. Approximately 10% of the population is of Japanese descent from Brazil and Peru. Its main industry is manufacturing, resulting in ample tax revenues and making it a non-subsidized organization. As a green oasis city, Oizumi Town, Oura District, promotes the development of parks and green spaces, striving to be "a beautiful town that loves nature, surrounded by clean skies, water, and greenery." The town is also filled with artwork, with numerous sculptures along the Izumi Greenway, a "Path of Greenery and Sculpture," adding color to the town.
