Oura Town, Oura District, is located in the southeastern part of Gunma Prefecture, in the central part of the Tomo region, sandwiched between the Tone River and the Watarase River. The land is flat with an average elevation of 25 meters, and borders Ota City to the west, Chiyoda Town to the south, Tatebayashi City to the east, and Tochigi Prefecture to the north. Oura Town, Oura District, has long had a distinctive flour-based food culture. This food culture continues to this day, with many soba noodle restaurants operating. Furthermore, the town's mild climate and abundant water have resulted in bountiful harvests. The town is blessed with agricultural products such as rice, wheat, Chinese cabbage, eggplant, and strawberries. Major tourist attractions include Oura Town's symbolic tower, Mirai, Tatara Numa Park, and Matsumoto Park.
