Mizunami City borders four cities and towns in Gifu Prefecture and one city in Aichi Prefecture. Mizunami City is famous for Mino ware and fossils, and is often spoken of as a city of history and culture. Tourist attractions in the city include the Mizunami Fossil Museum, Oniiwa Park, and the Osatogawa Dam. One of these, Oniiwa Park, is a nationally designated natural monument. The Setsubun festival is also held at Oniiwa Park. Another feature of this city is its large number of golf courses.
