Ginan Town, Hashima County, is located in the Nobi Plain in Gifu Prefecture. Access to Nagoya is about 30 kilometers away, making it a convenient place to live. The town also receives less snowfall than Hida Takayama and is said to be warm throughout the year. One of the town's main specialties is Tokuda leek. While regular leeks are divided into green and white sections, Tokuda leek features a longer white section, making it soft and less of the distinctive flavor of leeks. A major tourist attraction is the Ginan Town History and Folklore Museum, where visitors can get a glimpse into the history of agriculture that flourished in the plains.
