Saigo Village, Nishishirakawa District, borders three cities and towns in Fukushima Prefecture and two in Tochigi Prefecture. The village is blessed with abundant nature, with the Abukuma River and Mount Koshi flowing through it. The upper reaches of the Abukuma River are home to the legendary waterfalls of Otaki, Metaki, and Tengu Falls. Soybeans and potatoes are cultivated extensively in Saigo Village, and many specialty products are made using these crops. Many people choose Saigo Yuba, soy milk, and potato buns as souvenirs. Other products include Hotoku Shiitake Mushrooms, Oihara Soba, and rhubarb jam. The Shirakawa Plateau is home to Kyororon Village and Chapo Land, which offer athletic and sports facilities, a barbecue house, a campsite, and hot springs, attracting visitors of all ages.
