Nakajima Village in Nishishirakawa District borders four cities and towns in Fukushima Prefecture and is crossed by the Abukuma River. Rice and field farming are thriving here, with a variety of vegetables, including tomatoes and bok choy, grown here. The expansive Dorimu Park features numerous facilities, including a playground, a barbecue area, a water park, a botanical garden, and a forest library. Wild birds fly about the park's spacious pond, and you can hear their beautiful chirps. The village also boasts the giant Karakuri Yokappe Clock, which is illuminated on summer nights, casting a beautiful light. Other tourist attractions within the village include the 2-meter-tall stone statue "Sweating Jizo" and Fureai no Sato. Camping and fishing are also available.
