Shimogo Town, Minamiaizu District, is located in the southern part of the Aizu region, bordering Aizuwakamatsu City and Aizumisato Town. Other dishes include Junen udon and soba noodles made with buckwheat flour grown in Shimogo Town. Furthermore, the eggs of Aizu Jidori chickens, which have been raised in Shimogo Town for a long time, are known for their fine texture and rich flavor. Popular tourist attractions include Ouchi-juku, with its Edo-period thatched roofs; Yunokami Onsen, home to a plethora of alpine plants; and Kannon-numa Forest Park, where you can observe numerous wild birds.
