A walking trail has been established around Byobuiwa Rock, where visitors can experience the majesty of nature. Miyatoko Marsh is home to numerous alpine plants, including cotton grass and skunk cabbage. The town is also home to the rare and elusive Japanese snowbell, the Hacho-tombo (spotted darter). Agriculture is thriving in Minamiaizu Town, Minamiaizu District, where rice, tomatoes, turnips, asparagus, and other crops are harvested.
