About Ishikawacho
The Imade River flows through the center of Ishikawa Town in Ishikawa County and is its main water source, but there are also four other rivers, including the Abukuma River. The cherry blossom has been designated as the town's flower, due to the beautiful rows of cherry blossom trees in the city center. The cedar tree and the Japanese bush warbler are the town's symbols. Ishikawa Town in Ishikawa County is also home to several hot springs, with Hahata Onsen and Katakura Onsen being popular tourist spots. Festivals held in the area include the Ishikawa Cherry Blossom Festival and the Ishikawa Kirara Summer Festival. In recent years, a website called "Ishikawa Town Cherry Blossom Tour" has been created to fully promote cherry blossoms in order to revitalize the region.
