Soeda Town, Tagawa County, is located in the center of Fukuoka Prefecture, bordering six other cities and two cities in Oita Prefecture. The town is home to towering mountains reaching heights of over 1,000 meters, and approximately 83% of the town is covered in forest, creating a charming natural environment. Mount Hiko is a popular tourist attraction. The mountain boasts a copper torii gate and the shrine offering hall, both designated as important cultural properties by the national government. There are also three hiking trails, attracting many visitors. Mount Hiko Garden has a slope car, allowing visitors to observe the beautiful natural scenery. Other attractions include Soeda Park, known for its cherry blossoms, Ganseki Castle, and Soeda Joy. Yuzu pepper and yuzu dressing are local specialties of the town.
