About Kawasaki Town
Kawasaki Town in Tagawa County borders Tagawa City, Soeda Town, Kama City, and Otomo Town. It's located in the center of Fukuoka Prefecture. Mount Kumagahata is surrounded by nature. Formerly, the coal industry was the center of the town's economy, but with its decline, all coal mines were closed. These sites are being reused as industrial parks. One tourist attraction is the Fish Garden, designated a national scenic spot. A pond has been dug in the center, allowing water to flow through it. Three stone bridges span the pond, and maples and camellias are planted around it. Enjoy the seasonal changes. Other attractions include the Toya Nature Forest and the Toyamahara Kofun. The town's tree is the ginkgo, and its flower is the sunflower.
