Kahuran Town in Tagawa County has developed around the cement industry. It is also famous as a pottery town, with five kilns located within the town. The annual pottery festival attracts pottery enthusiasts from all over the country, creating a lively atmosphere. Also known as a spot rich in nature, Kahuran-dake, a triple-mountain mountain, is home to wild Japanese macaques and Japanese bush warblers. It is also known as a sacred mountain, and legend has it that Kahuran-dake Castle was built here during the Sengoku period. The cherry blossoms at Kahuran Shrine are a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, attracting many visitors every year. The Furusato Kawara Summer Festival Bon Odori Dance Competition, held every August, is a popular festival that attracts many spectators.
