Kasuga City is located in the center of the Fukuoka metropolitan area, and as it is within 10 km of the center of Fukuoka City, it has developed as a commuter town for the Fukuoka metropolitan area. Historically, it is said that the center of Nakoku was located in Kasuga City during the middle of the Yayoi period, and many ruins related to Nakoku have been discovered there. Tourist attractions include the cultural asset Shiramizu Oike Pond Gutter, the Kasuga Park and Omiya Road circular course, and the Nakoku Romance and Nagi Road circular course, all famous as tourist spots where you can get a feel for Kasuga City's history. The Nakoku Hill Historical Museum, a museum related to Nakoku, is also a popular spot for history buffs.
